No surprises, ever

Questions couples ask — answered honestly

Planning a wedding should feel exciting, not confusing. So here are straight, no-asterisk answers to the things couples wonder about most — the money, the logistics, and everything in between. If a question isn't here, just ask.

The money, in plain language

Pricing & payments

The venue fee depends on your season and your day of the week, and it runs from $5,500 to $8,500. The full grid is published below — no form, no waiting. Lower midweek rates are available on request — ask us about off-peak Sunday through Thursday dates. A hilltop ceremony can be added to any package for $2,400, or taken on its own for $4,800. Adding Thursday to a Friday is $1,000, and full multi-day weekends start at $12,300. All pricing is subject to applicable state and local tax. Extended hours may be available on request for an additional fee.

Rather more than most venues fold in. Every booking includes:

  • Bridal and groom getting-ready suites
  • Your choice of ceremony and reception location — the Estate House setting or the Estate Barn
  • Tables and chairs for up to 200 guests
  • On-site parking
  • An event coordinator for day-of logistics
  • Setup and breakdown assistance
  • A 16 hours, 8:00 am to 12:00 am rental window
  • Private space from 8:00 AM for hair and makeup, with full-length lighted mirror stations
  • The Estate Barn catering kitchen
  • Freedom to bring your own food and beverage

Your rental window is 16 hours, 8:00 am to 12:00 am. We ask that the bar close by 11:00 PM and that personal items be cleared by 12:00 AM, so the cleaning crew can have the space ready for the next couple.

No. We'd rather lose a booking than surprise a couple. All pricing is subject to applicable state and local tax. Extended hours may be available on request for an additional fee. Everything else — the venue fee, the hilltop ceremony if you add it, lodging if you want it — is quoted as its own line before you commit. What you sign is what you pay.

In four steps, and nothing is owed until step three. One: tell us your date and we'll place a free five-day hold on it — no cost, no commitment, no card. Two: we email you the actual contract to read at your own pace, so you see every term before you're asked for anything. Three: if it's right, your signature and a 25% non-refundable deposit confirm the date as yours. We say non-refundable plainly here rather than leaving you to find it at signature. Four: the balance is spread across three scheduled payments — planned dates on the calendar, not a drip of surprise invoices. That's the whole ladder, and it's the same for every couple.

You can begin decorating at 9:00 AM on your wedding day, and earlier access is sometimes possible — it comes as standard with a multi-day rental. Everything needs to come back out by 12:00 AM at both the Barn and the House, so the crew can turn the space around for the next celebration.

Ceremonies can begin as early as 3:00 PM in the Barn, and 5:00 PM at the Estate setting. The later Estate start is deliberate rather than restrictive: it puts your vows and your photographs in the golden hour, which out here is the whole point.

We ask each couple to carry a simple one-day event-liability policy. It's inexpensive, takes minutes to add online, and protects both your celebration and the estate. We'll point you to a trusted, affordable option so it's one less thing to figure out.

Timing is everything

Dates & booking

Yes — for five days, free, with nothing owed. If you've fallen for a date, tell us and we'll take it off the table while you think, read the contract, and talk it over with the people who get a say. There's no card and no obligation, and if you decide we're not the one, the hold simply lapses and the date goes back out. We'll tell you plainly when it's about to expire rather than letting it disappear quietly. After five days it releases, so if the date genuinely matters to you, the kindest advice we can give is don't sit on it.

We recommend 12–18 months ahead for peak season — April through October, and Saturdays especially, which go first. Off-peak and weekday dates stay open considerably longer. Tell us the date you have in mind and we'll tell you honestly whether it's still there.

Absolutely — and we hope you will. There's no substitute for standing among the gardens or looking out from the hilltop at golden hour. You can pick a tour time yourself, and someone will be here to meet you.

You'll receive your personalized Pricing Guide right away, plus a note from a real person on our team — not an auto-reply that vanishes. From there we answer your questions, help you compare the two settings, and set up your tour. No pressure, ever.

Your day, your way

Your celebration

We're on 110 acres in Paoli, in the hills of southern Indiana — about twenty minutes east of French Lick. Louisville, Bloomington and Jasper are each around an hour away, which is the number that matters most, because it means the majority of your guest list can drive in the morning and home the same night if they'd rather not stay. Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Evansville are roughly two hours.

The Estate sets your day among manicured gardens with the French Country Estate House as your backdrop — classic, lush, and timeless. The Hilltop trades the gardens for sweeping panoramic views of the Southern Indiana countryside — open sky and endless golden light. The Hilltop is a ceremony site rather than a third venue: add it to either package for $2,400, or book it on its own for $4,800, which includes seating for up to 200 and someone on site to run it. Most couples walk both before deciding.

Up to 400 guests for a ceremony and an outdoor reception, and up to 240 seated inside the Estate Barn. One honest detail worth having early: your booking includes tables and chairs for 200, so above that number you'd be renting the extra seating in. We'd rather tell you now than let you discover it in a quote. Smaller weddings sit beautifully here too — the grounds don't feel empty at fifty.

Yes — your celebration lives here from "I do" to the last dance. Ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing all unfold across one 110-acre estate, with no shuttling guests between venues.

More than a ceremony site — this is a getaway. The estate offers a pool with a hot tub and cabanas, an 18-hole disc golf course, walking trails, and firepits made for s'mores under the stars. Your guests won't want to leave (and, happily, they don't have to).

The Estate Barn is a genuine covered, indoor alternative — not a compromise you'd be apologising for in photographs. If you'd rather stay outside under cover, we also arrange tent rentals. Either way we settle your rain plan with you well before the day, so a passing Indiana shower is a story you tell later rather than a decision you make in a panic.

The feast & the toasts

Food & bar

You're welcome to bring the flavors you love. We'll share our list of trusted, licensed caterers who already know the property well, along with the simple guidelines that keep service seamless on the day.

We're delighted to toast with you. Our straightforward bar guidelines ensure alcohol is served by licensed, insured professionals, so the celebration stays safe and carefree from the first pour to the last dance. Full details live in your Pricing Guide.

An estate-house suite at Blueberry Hill, part of the on-site Estate Weekend lodging

Yes — and it's the thing couples tell us they can't stop talking about. On-site lodging means your wedding party wakes up here, gets ready here, and celebrates without a single drive. Overnight stays can be added to either setting.

Five overnight suites inside the Estate House, plus four separate cabins on the grounds — Hilltop Cabin (sleeps six), Singing Brook and Holly Glade (four each), and the Tiny Nook (two). The Estate House also brings the sunken grotto, the English-style pub with its pool table, the sun porch and the pool and hot tub. Wedding-weekend lodging is quoted alongside your date; nightly stays outside a wedding are booked through our lodging site.

Yes. Spacious, photo-ready getting-ready spaces are part of the estate-weekend experience — no rushing across town in hair and makeup, no watching the clock. Just the morning you pictured.
